Grand Lagoon is the sheltered water on the east end, toward the pass and St. Andrews State Park. Thomas Drive is the working edge of it: marinas, charters, and locally owned restaurants. Upper Grand Lagoon and Lower Grand Lagoon are separate census places.

The east end’s boating water, off Thomas Drive near the pass and Shell Island.
The pace here is different from the Front Beach towers and Pier Park. The water is often calmer than the open Gulf, and once a boat clears the pass, the Gulf opens up. A dolphin morning or a Shell Island trip is an ordinary plan, and St. Andrews State Park’s jetties are the signature public shore, though the park gates can close on a peak summer morning.
Housing mixes single-family streets, canal homes, and waterfront condominiums. A dock in a listing doesn’t always mean deeded dockage; slip rights and waitlists vary by building and association.
Bay Point, the gated golf-and-marina enclave on this same water, is listed under Panama City. St. Andrews, across the bay in Panama City, is the historic waterfront village. Pier Park is the entertainment night, west of here.
